F
ive Ingredients of a Great Offce Christmas Party
Page 5
The ofce Christmas party is a day many employees
look forward to, except, of course, the person who’s in
charge of organizing it. So, to help, here are fve things
that every great party needs to have.
No. 1.
First of all, providing your line of work doesn’t dictate
otherwise, it’s always a good gesture to let the party
eat into part of the working day. That way, all mem-
bers of staf will be involved and the morale will be a
lot better than if you’re taking up an evening of their
time close to Christmas.
No. 2.
Next, you need a structure to the day. Do you want to
have party games at the ofce, followed by a Christ-
mas lunch that bleeds into an evening of socializing?
Or would you prefer to have a late afternoon/evening
meal followed by a disco of some kind? By deciding
on a rough outline of how the day will unfold, it’ll be
easier to fnd the other pieces.
No. 3
.
The most important ingredient of the day will be the
Christmas party venue you choose. Some people like
to have it at the ofce or at least incorporate the of-
fce into part of the day, while others prefer to get as
far away from it as possible. If you’re going the route
of the latter, make sure you fnd somewhere that’s
in a good location to other bars (in case you move
on afterwards), is easy to get to and from, can cater
for a group of your size, and is available on the day
you want it. Book early to avoid disappointment and
stress.
No. 4.
Good food will also help to make the day perfect, so
make sure the venue you choose can meet your ex-
pectations. Not everyone will want a traditional turkey
dinner, so make sure they have more options. Staf
should get to choose between three or four meals,
including at least one vegetarian option.
No. 5.
Having a plan for what happens after the meal is the
part that will determine whether you’re party is go-
ing to be a nice little work do that passes by without
incident or a memorable party in the true sense of the
word. If you’re leaving one venue to go to another,
why not make sure the second venue can cordon of a
VIP area for your group. It will help keep everyone out
and enjoying themselves.
So, if you’re ready to start planning your corporate
Christmas party, then why not begin searching for
ideal Christmas party venues that are in a suitable
location?
