Welcome
to the December edition of The Art of Service
magazine.
This month, we’re looking back on what 2012 has brought for the IT
industry and of course we are looking forward to the new year with
anticipation and unbridled enthusiasm!
Based on our ongoing research, we have identiefied a series of
subjects that are important for IT Professionals to have at least a high
level of understanding about. Some of these subjects are featured in
this magazine, and you won’t be surprised to see that DevOps, Cloud
Computing, and Enterprise Architecture are featured in the articles.
As always, enjoy reading, and if you have any questions regarding this
month’s edition, send us an email at:

At the end of 2012, I wanted to take some time to reflect on this wonderful and complex
year.
It hasn’t been the easiest year for many people, especially when you work in the IT
industry. Our industry has been hit quite hard with budget cuts and financial constraints,
while the uptake of global purchasing and cloud services have lead to many more
competition from areas we never thought possible.
Having said this, I still feel it has been a wonderful year, as it made us very aware of the
value we deliver to our clients, our company, and our teammembers. Cloud Computing
has become a wonderful way to enable flexible IT services that provide clear value and
agility to increase the competitive advantage of the business.
The Art of Service has not been isolated from all this—we had to do some serious soul
searching and found our feet again after it became obvious how fast the landscape for
our students and clients is changing. We are—and continue to be—committed to the
delivery of on-demand online IT education for career driven IT Professionals and because
of this, we developed a whole new range of short courses that will help our students
remain relevant in their jobs and help them continue to develop their careers.
We’re excited about the opportunities this brings for 2013, and we look forward to
continue to serve you to enable your successful IT career.
