BUSINESS

Dropbox is an app that I use on a daily basis to store fles and share them with other people. It saves me emailing documents from where I am to my staf in the ofce. One word of warning though while travel-ing...when you have a lot of documents constantly updating into your dropbox and you are on a hotel internet connection, you run out of max download ca-pacity very quickly! Turn of the auto sync until you’re in an area where you can safely upload 3 GB onto your dropbox in the cloud without getting into trouble....

The Things app helps me to keep track of all my to do lists, must be done lists, should not forget lists etc. Trying to keep track of all the diferent projects I am working on and fnishing everything on time would not be possible without this application. It is not a project management tool, but it enables me to sort my thoughts and ideas and to structure all the things I need to do. It syncs between my iPad and laptop, so I never have to retype ideas and completed tasks.

But my absolute favorite business app, hands down, is

Evernote. I can make notes (including audio) on my iPad and it syncs it automatically to my laptop, desk-top, and iPhone, as I have the app installed on all my machines. I can take website clips, photos, scanned handwritten notes and keep everything together. The search function is amazing, and I have all my notes organized in diferent notebooks. It’s a great app to work with.

The XE.com app is also fabulous to check the current exchange rate. It’s a great tool for shopping at airports where you have no idea how cheap the duty free really is (or not), but also important when you need

to fgure out your proft margins when purchasing in other currencies.

FUN / RECREATION

I read my magazines on my iPad through the ZINIO

app, and I really enjoy the experience! It’s like reading a real magazine, and you can zoom in on details if you want to.

Runkeeper is an app that I use to track my exercise during trips. I fnd it really hard to stay in the routine of daily exercise when I travel and this app keeps track of what I’ve been doing (it has the option for you to log it on your facebook account, so everybody knows when you have been skipping on your daily jog...)

Oh, and speaking of recording measurements...our

Withings scale at home sends all data to the app, so, even when I am traveling overseas, I know exactly the state of my family’s health...(and NO, I will NOT post my weight on facebook or twitter! This is a defnite no go zone!)

Now all I need is the universal power plug and I’m ready for my next trip.

Happy travels! Ivanka
